Leverage Poland's Residential Solar and Storage Rebate Scheme with Hypontech's HV ESS

Published on : 2024-09-20

The Polish government has recently relaunched the sixth edition of its Mój Prąd (My Electricity) rebate scheme, offering substantial financial support for residential solar and energy storage installations. With a total budget of PLN 400 million ($103.2 million), applications are open until December 20 or until funds are exhausted.

Hypontech’s High Voltage Energy Storage System (HV ESS), featuring the HHT 3-15 kW high-voltage hybrid inverter and HBP high-voltage battery, is an ideal solution for homeowners looking to maximize the benefits of this rebate scheme.

Key Highlights of the Polish residential Solar, Storage Rebate Scheme

For PV micro-installations submitted for grid connection by July 31, 2024, energy or heat storage is considered optional but not mandatory. Eligible systems include:

  • Micro-installation capacity: 2 kW to 10 kW

  • Subsidy amount: Up to 50% of eligible costs, with the following caps:

  • PV micro-installations: Up to PLN 6,000

  • PV micro-installations with additional components: Up to PLN 7,000 + subsidy for the additional component

  • Energy storage: Up to PLN 16,000

  • Heat storage: Up to PLN 5,000

For PV micro-installations submitted after August 1, 2024, energy storage or heat storage will become a mandatory requirement:

  • Micro-installation capacity: 2 kW to 20 kW

  • Subsidy amount: Up to 50% of eligible costs, with the following limits:

  • PV micro-installations with additional components: Up to PLN 7,000 + subsidy for the additional component

  • Energy storage: Up to PLN 16,000

  • Heat storage: Up to PLN 5,000

All PV installations must be connected to the grid, and energy storage systems must be registered with the distribution system operator. The minimum storage capacity eligible for subsidies is:

  • Energy storage: 2 kWh, as in previous editions

  • Heat storage: 20 liters, which covers the hot water demand for one person

The total capacity of all renewable energy systems owned by the prosumer, including PV installations and storage, cannot exceed 50 kW.

Hypontech’s HV ESS: Perfectly align with Poland’s Needs and Market Trends

Hypontech’s HHT 5-15 kW high-voltage hybrid inverter, paired with the HBP HV battery, is perfect for Poland’s subsidy policy and the evolving solar market.

  • Wide Power & Storage Range: The HHT series offers power outputs ranging from 5 kW to 15 kW, and the HBP HV battery supports multiple capacity configurations from 3kW to 15kW, making it ideal for installations from 2 kW to 20 kW as outlined in the rebate scheme. This ensures Hypontech HV ESS fit a wide variety of residential solar projects.

  • Flexible Configuration: Hypontech's HV ESS allows customizable charge and discharge cycles based on energy needs. With parallel connection options, you can easily expand your system, ensuring scalability for future growth. It's also compatible with various battery brands, allowing seamless integration with different battery management systems for greater versatility.

  • Intelligent and Efficient: Equipped with CT, Hypontech’s HV ESS can deliver fast and accurate energy usage monitoring. Besides, Hypontech’s smart energy management platform—Hypon.Cloud, offers 24h online monitoring of Hypontech HV ESS. Users can access real-time data and optimize system performance anytime, anywhere, from your mobile, tablet, or desktop device.

  • Multiple Energy Storage Modes: The system offers multiple energy storage modes, including self-consumption, off-grid, backup, and grid-priority modes, ensuring efficiency and flexibility across various scenarios.

  • Safe and Reliable: Designed with comprehensive protection features, the system includes zero export limit, surge protection, and anti-islanding protection for enhanced safety. With advanced three-phase unbalance and weak grid adaptability, it ensures uninterrupted power by adjusting loads between phases and operating efficiently even in unstable grids. This stabilizes voltage and frequency, maximizing energy output and minimizing downtime for consistent performance and savings.

  • Future-Ready Compatibility: As Poland continues its shift to net billing, energy storage will play an increasingly crucial role. Hypontech’s HV ESS helps reduce energy costs, stabilize power during peak demand, and ensures energy independence for homeowners.

With the generous support provided by Poland's Mój Prąd rebate scheme and Hypontech's innovative HV ESS solutions, homeowners have a unique chance to embrace renewable energy, reduce the carbon footprint, and secure energy independence.
